The Dino-Lite Edge AM4815ZTL USB microscope provides 10x-140x magnification with extended working distance and offers the very best in 1.3M pixel performance from Dino-Lite. The extended working distance offered by this model is designed for tasks where standard optics result in the microscope being too close to the object. As you would expect this model benefits from the software measurement features in the Dino-Lite software. The new Edge sensor and optics offer enhanced image clarity and colour reproduction when compared to the Dino-Lite Basic and Dino-Lite Premier ranges. The new exchangeable end cap design unique to the Edge models provides additional flexibility to the user with a number of end caps being supplied as standard. The built-in adjustable polarizer helps to reduce glare and reflection when viewing reflective surfaces and gives the user another tool to help enhance final image quality. The AM4815ZTL model provides access to two advanced software features within the Windows software; the Extended Dynamic Range (EDR) feature automatically captures multiple images at different illumination settings and combines them into a single image with extended dynamic range, alternatively the Extended Depth of Field (EDOF) feature can be used to automatically capture multiple images at different focus levels which are then combined to provide a final image with much greater depth of field. The Dino-Lite Edge range is the range of choice for professional applications. As with all Dino-Lite digital microscopes use of a stand (sold separately) is suggested if the user wants to achieve the very best results from the microscope, this is especially relevant to extended working distance models.
